This course aims to teach learners the basic skills of playing harmonica, Seniors will learn to appreciate wind instrument and develop a sense of passion to music.

16 hours over 8 sessions
Course Outline
Interesting highlights of the programme include:
1. Introduction to Harmonica types and proper holding position.
2. Breath control techniques and considerations for playing.
3. Introduction to musical pitches and notation.
4. Practice exercises for skill development.
5. Application of playing techniques to songs
6. Further practice exercises and application to songs
7. Introduction to the C major scale and Allegro tempo.
8. Advanced song practice
Pre-requisitess
50 years old and above
Singaporean or PR
Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English
Must be fully vaccinated (onsite course)

Your trainer:
Lee Chin Wah has taught for 10 years with Kranji Primary School Harmonica Ensemble, followed by 8 years at Nanyang Polytechnic Harmonica Ensemble. He also dedicated 7 years to the Whampoa Arts Station Harmonica group and 6 years to the Rezonance Harmonica Ensemble. Since 2014, they have been the President of the Harmonica Aficionados Society, showcasing their leadership and commitment to fostering a harmonica community.
