Want to learn and explore the joy of music production? This course aims to let learners understand the fundamentals of music production from planning, arranging, recording, editing, mixing & mastering. Come join us and learn to use virtual instruments for arranging music through hands on learning experiences. You will also be introduced to the music production workflow and production process. Finally, you will be introduced to the digital audio workstation. Join us and other like-minded individuals to pick up this exciting new skill!


Learners will have to download the Bandlab software on their computer (Windows/Mac).

Basic computer skills is required.

16 hours over 8 sessions


Course Outline

Interesting highlights of the programme include:


-Acquire basic music production knowledge & practical skills to produce your own music

-Pick up the basic process of the music production

-Learn new techniques: Multi track recording, Mono vs stereo track, Metronome,Tempo & timing, Pre-count and Pre-roll, Loop records

-Try your hand at vocal editing (Melodyne) and make final touch ups to the song



Pre-requisitess

50 years old and above

Singaporean or PR

Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English

Basic computer skills is required

Download Bandlab software

Earpiece with built-in microphone

Calvin Ong is an experienced musician and singer who has performed for a diverse range of live events such as the Singapore Street Festival and National Day Singalong. He is also the founder of Aviel Music which provides home studio recording equipment to aspire musicians & help musicians and singers generate alternative income from their songs through blockchain-based Music NFTs. Being passionate about his love of music production, he runs his YouTube channel under Aviel Music to provide music production related content to empower musicians
