This course aims to teach beginners who will discover the joy of acrylic painting, as they learn how to infuse modern techniques into this easy-to-use medium. After taking this class, participants will be able to pick up a paintbrush and create their own masterpieces.

Course Duration

18 hours over 6 sessions


Course Outline

Interesting highlights of the programme include:

  • Learn about the different colors and overlapping.
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of the medium.
  • Learn about Dabbing (Tones).
  • Learn about Blending (color contrast).
  • Learn about splattering and dry brush painting.
  • Learn about using brush strokes to create textured water.
  • Learn how to create simple methods of feathers.

Pre-requisites

50 years old and above

Singaporean or PR

Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English

Your Trainer:

After 7 years of teaching Art to school children, Steve Liu decided to start his own studio space. He holds a Diploma in Interior Design from SIA-LASELLE and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Raffles Design Institute. Believing that everyone should experience and discover art, he started his own studio space. Steve Liu personally enjoys teaching acrylic paint as he finds the medium friendly for beginners who have no experience in painting.
