This course aims to teach the fundamentals of portrait drawing through the study and understanding of facial construction - features, anatomy and proportion. Students will learn various drawing techniques, as well as develop skills in expressing values, shadows and shading using a step-by-step approach.
Note: You will need to get your own Materials. List will be given upon sign up.

18 hours over 6 sessions
Course Outline
Interesting highlights of the programme include:
· Introduction to portrait proportion using pencil medium
· Understand the standard measures and proportions of our facial construction
· Learn how to draw with volume, perspective, shading, composition and expression

50 years old and above

Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English

Your Trainer:
Janice Chin is an Art Practitioner specializing in various drawing and painting mediums. She was trained in Fine Art (Painting and Drawing) at the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom and has more than 13 years of art teaching experience with children, teenagers and adults at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She has been invited to exhibit her artworks in Malaysia, South Korea and Spain. In 2013, she was awarded the prestigious First Award of the Biennial 2nd ASPAS Biennial International Pastel Exhibition in Oviedo, Spain.
