Have you ever wanted to explore the art of Chinese calligraphy? In this level 3 course, we will explore calligraphy as an art medium and to understand the structure of the character and historical of art in China. We will explore a more advanced level of writing with the Chinese brush and ink.
* It is a pre-requisite to complete Chinese Calligraphy Kai Shu (Level 1 & 2) before signing up for this course.

18 hours over 6 sessions
Course Outline
Interesting highlights of the programme include:
- Understanding the calligraphy background and style of calligraphy of individual students, recognizing strength and style.
- Sharing/discussion of various main style of calligraphy
- Layouts of calligraphy display works, use of seal, signoff etc.
- Defining respective display work content
- Display work practice and creation

Your Trainer:
Heu Chang Chin has been practicing Chinese calligraphy for 30 years. In 2016, he won the top prize of Dr Tan Tsze Chor Art Awards (Chinese Calligraphy). Chang Chin shares his passion and knowledge of Chinese calligraphy by teaching at FeiYue Art Centre, Hwa Chong Alumni and a local art gallery. He regularly takes part in calligraphy exhibitions and his works have been collected in Singapore and other countries.
