This course is a progression course. (NEW!) You will learn the approaches in painting basic landscape ( terraced field, high-distance, deep-distance, flat-distance )


Please note the course fee excludes art materials.


*It is a pre-requisite to have completed Module 1 of Chinese Ink Painting before signing up for this course.

Course Outline

Interesting highlights of the programme include:

  • Participant will be able to manipulate the freedom in painting, showing spontaneous expression without any correction or covering of layers of materials
  • Understand and manipulate brush-lines at a higher level
  • Participant will learn to appreciate the beauty of the Chinese ink painting

50 years old and above

Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English

Your Trainer:

Lim Choon Jin has been teaching Chinese ink painting since 2007. He was a trained Secondary School Teacher and served in Ministry of Education for 34 years (1963-1989). He obtained Certificate of Education (1967), Advanced Certificate in Education (1979), Certificate in Art Education (1990), Diploma in Painting (1994), 1st Class Honour Bachelor in Visual Arts (2004) and Master in Fine Arts (2005). He is the President of Modern Art Society Singapore, members of local art societies; has conducted 10 Solo-shows and participated in many local and overseas Group-shows.
