Come sing with us! This is a beginner course for seniors to learn the proper vocal techniques so that they will be able to perform in 2 to 3 part choir singing. Besides that, this course also aims to develop a new active interest amongst the senior participants, giving them a boost to their confidence and thus enhancing their quality of life.

Course Duration

12 hours over 6 sessions


Course Outline

Interesting highlights of the programme include:

-         Learn about the proper techniques of singing- such as body posture, facial relaxation, breathing with your diaphragm, articulation and enunciation

-         Participate in 2 to 3 part choir singing.

-         Learn a few songs, depending on individual progression.


Pre-requisites

50 years old and above

Singaporean or PR

Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English

Your trainer:

Lee Sang has more than 20 years of experience in teaching voice and keyboard and is currently a Music Director at Clef Music; She obtained Diploma in Music Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1999, and holds RCM Early Childhood Music Education Certification and WSQ Adult Education Certification. Lee Sang not only actively participates in various types of singing performances and piano accompaniment performances, but also represents Singapore in singing competitions. She currently teaches classical singing and pop singing, as well as individual and group lessons.


Lee Fooi Pin was formerly a full time piano teacher at a music school before taking up the opportunity to become a choral conductor at her church. She holds both ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and Music Theory Grade 8, and obtained a Diploma of Licentiateship in Singing from London College of Music in 1998, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Music (Major in Voice) from Singapore Bible College in 2004. In 2001, she began exploring Choral conducting in Primary and Secondary schools. She believes in music’s potential to give strength to the tired soul, and continues to teach and guide each new generation.
