Kokedama: No-Pot Planting

Course Overview

THIS IS A 1-SESSION ONSITE BASIC COURSE.

 

Immerse yourself in the Japanese art of Kokedama, a combination of nearai bonsai and kusamono planting styles! Using the provided plants and akadama soil, you will be planting your very own Kokedama, without the use of any pot. Marvel at the modern art of Kokedama, while receiving guidance on assembling this plant together! You will learn the technique of using coconut fibre and other materials provided to contain your Kokedama within a stable casing of akadama soil. You can look forward to bringing home your very own Kokedama! Don't miss out – sign up now and introduce the breath of Japan’s gardens into your homes!

  • Participants will have to travel down to the school to attend this session.
  • Participants need to be comfortable with handling plants and soil.
  • All materials will be provided in school.

Pre-requisites
  • 50 years old and above
  • Singaporean or PR
  • Must be able to understand and converse in simple English
  • Participants need to be comfortable with handling plants and soil
  • All materials will be provided in school
