Solution-focused counselling (SFC) is a counselling approach that emphasizes finding solutions and leveraging participants' strengths rather than focusing on problems and their causes. It can be applied to a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, mental health, substance abuse, relationships and couples, and much more. Solution-Focused Counselling helps in daily life by shifting your attention from problems to possibilities. It focuses on what works, instead of dwelling on what's wrong. It helps you identify what’s already working in your life—and how to do more of it, builds confidence and hope. You start to recognize your own strengths and past successes, which increases confidence that you can handle the next challenge too. It encourages small, realistic steps, breaks down big challenges into small, achievable actions that move you forward.
