Course Overview

THIS IS A 1-SESSION ONSITE BASIC COURSE.

Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in a ball of moss-covered soil. This craft offers a unique minimalist beauty and an organic and green touch to any space as a natural decor. The tending of Kokedama also allows you to reduce stress and help you connect with nature, promoting mindfulness and improving your mood and anxiety. Join the students from Kong Hwa School as they share with you the steps and benefits of doing your own Kokedama! This eco-friendly gardening method requires no plastic pots and can be applied to many different types of plants using this technique, including ferns, succulents, flowering plants, or even bonsai! Pre-requisites
  • 50 years old and above
  • Singaporean or PR
  • Must be able to understand and converse in simple English
  • Participants have to be fit enough to travel down to the school on their own
  • Participants should be comfortable with the use of soil
  • Materials will be provided at the school
