"In Singapore, Dementia affects 5.2% of Seniors aged 60 & above. This number is expected to balloon to 187,000 by 2050 (quoted from SGH, “Dementia in Singapore”, HealthXchange.sg)"
This course aims to help you learn about Dementia and the skills necessary to provide support and assistance to seniors with Dementia by using a person-centric approach. The trainer will teach you the key mechanisms of befriending as well as tips and tricks to communicate effectively with seniors with dementia.

Your trainer:
Sandra Foo has over 10 years of training and facilitation experience specialising in elder-caregiving and befriending programmes. She graduated with a BA. Social Sciences (NUS) and a PGDip. Personnel Management (SIM). She is also a registered nurse and is ACTA certified. Sandra has conducted health talks such as Fall Prevention, Care for Elderly at Home, Chronic Diseases Management, Dementia Care, Active Ageing & Mental Well Being, Be Active! Wellness Programme etc.
