Enable participants to learn a traditional classical fine art painting beside the outline-colouring (shuanggou 双勾填色) and xieyi method. 


  • Art materials are not included in the course fee.
  • When the course is confirmed upon sufficient sign-up, the material list will be emailed to participants for purchase, the expected cost is about $40-$50 depending on the quality.

Course Outline

Interesting highlights of the programme include:

• Participants will be able to understand the basic and overview of the Chinese Classical Fine Art Painting.

• Participants will learn to do sketching, enlarging, tracing, and layer-colouring some common flowering plants and vegetables.



Pre-requisites
  • 50 years old and above
  • Singaporean or PR
  • Must be able to read, understand and converse in simple English
  • Participants must complete the Chinese Ink Painting Module 1 - Introduction
  • Course fee excludes art materials
  • No make-up is allowed for any missed lesson
  • No refund is given for withdrawal when the course is confirmed

Your Trainer:

Lim Choon Jin holds a MA in Fine Art in 2005 and has many years of experience in teaching both the young adults and seniors.

He teaches Chinese art for many years (Xieyi and Chinese Classical Fine Art Painting) in La Salle Art College, Fei Yue Community Services and other organisation.

He is also very active in the local art scene and serves as President in the Chinese Art Society.
